WE LOVE BRIXTON!

That’s why we set up ACTION on ASB! – a Brixton community campaign taking action against the high levels of anti-social behaviour (ASB) so our streets can be free for everyone to enjoy.

We represent local community groups, residents and businesses who want to do something about rising levels of anti-social behaviour, including things like drug use/dealing, human toileting, loitering, begging, intimidation, trespassing, theft and vandalism.

Our mission

To unite residents, businesses and community organisations to call for the police, council and relevant agencies, to reduce anti-social behaviour in Brixton, making sure the community is involved in what those plans look like.

You just know when you are looking at a human poo 💩 It can be intimidating to women and children to encounter a man pissing in the street. Whilst there are few public conveniences in Brixton, there are many businesses, coffee shops and pubs that kindly offer toilets to those in need. Our high street and market-based businesses are experiencing a daily struggle with regular occurrences of shoplifting and on-going intimidation of staff. Shoplifting can increase the costs beared by us all and leads to many large shops requiring private security and some smaller shops to close. Trespass, especially into communal stairwells, is a reoccurring issue in shared blocks in Brixton. Leaving your home to find unwelcome intruders can be incredibly scary and awkward. Similarly, it can be very demoralising to see our environment vandalised. When our homes and public spaces are damaged and vandalised it adds to the feeling that things in general are getting worse.
